What happens to your provisional license if you get into an accident and its your fault?

So my boyfriend is 17 and has a provisional license. He got into an accident on friday. It was his fault, he had a green light and turned left while another car had a green light and was heading straight. Causing a head-on collision. Yet he’s a really good driver I promise. Stuff happens i guess. He’s really upset and all, does anyone know if his license gets affected? Like does he get his real license when he’s 21?

Sure, he can still get it. It’s not like he was under the influence of alcohol, or anything extreme like that. It was an honest accident. He will still be able to get his license, though his insurance rates will definitely increase.
