What are the consequences of driving without an official license?

My boyfriend has taken all the classes required to have a driver’s license and had the paper certificate and everything, but he got his permit really late (he’s 17) and still has a few months before he’s supposed to drive. Since he’s already gone through the classes and in-car sessions, would the consequences for driving without an activated license be the same as driving without any kind of license?
He got insurance already, his insurance company didn’t ask when his license was activated.

if you’re caught without an official driver’s license, you might not be able to get your license until you’re 18 or even 21. aliceee

That it a mixed bag. Some states like Florida and North Carolina will take you to the woodshed. The problem with not having a license, is that you won’t have car insurance either. I wouldn’t try it unless it is worth doing some serious jail time.
Let me put it this way. If they threw Paris Hilton in jail for driving with a suspended license, with her high priced lawyers and celebrity status, what do you think will happen to your boyfriend? Cysteine

Yes….driving is a word that in law means your getting paid and are in commercial activity like the cowboys were on a cattle drive…other times they were riding their horses.

I ride with no license in my unregistered car in my ecclesiastical service..you have to take away their assumption you are driving by private agreement. Edward-Jay-Robin: B
