I want to pursue a Dealers License in the San Francisco area. I want to know if its profitable business selling used cars? I was planning on selling 1 to 2 cars at a time. What is the avg price below KBB you could get at a Dealers Only Auction? Also the avg % profit per vehicle? Thanks alot

I am looking to get an auto dealer’s license in Illinois. I have heard that you need to have a lot, is there any way around this? In the past I worked under a used car dealer as a salesperson and was able to go to dealer auctions and buy and sell just as if I was a dealer. I paid the dealer for each unit I sold. This would probably be the easiest way to go, but I can’t seem to find anyone willing to let me do that through them. Any ideas?
