I have lost my drivers license. Can I show a temp. license when checking in or will something else work?
Christine C asked:
What else can I use at check in for my flight if I do not have a drivers license?

You need to have a photo ID of some sort….school ID…anything with your photo and name on it to prove that you are the person who is on the ticket/ boarding pass…hope this helps..

Any government-issued photo ID will be sufficient. Many people do not have a driver’s license for a variety of reasons. OK yeah well whatever
You can use a passport. If you don’t have a passport, talk to your driver’s license office. Many states issue a “photo id” that looks like a drivers license but isn’t one. My kids were all home-schooled, so they didn’t have school id’s. We got them state photo id’s for those few cases where they needed some kind of photo id. Craig R
TSA regulations require a “Government-issued photo ID”. A school ID is not a Government ID. If you had a line badge, passport, or state worker’s ID those would work. jim
The other answers are all correct, however a little known law is that two forms of Government I.D. without a picture are also acceptable in theory your Temporary license plus your S.S. card should work.
However it is highly likely that the screener may not be aware of this law. If its all you can come up with before your journey, leave early for the Airport and if you have problems at security ask for a supervisor.
Good Luck. Paul M
They ask that you have a current photo government issued id, that meaning a drivers license, passport, military id. I traveled recently with my temp license and three out of the four airports were OK with it, the last airport just required that I go through a bit of additional screening, not really a big deal, just adds a couple more minutes on getting through security.
Hope this helps. private_jet_charter
