I have an accident and a ticket on my record, I think that is it. I have a ticket from an accident and another accident that wasn’t my fault I didn’t get a ticket. I have points on my license but I’m not sure how many. I wish I would have known to hire a lawyer to go against the ticket to lower it instead of just paying it. My insurance is crazy high: $300+ a MONTH. I can’t do that and make my rent and car payments. Is there some quick way I can have my insurance reduced? A driving class or something? Is it really too late to have the points reduced?

Since you’re financing you car you can’t really reduce coverage. The reason why your insurance is so high is because you are a high risk and you carry full coverage on your vehicle. The only way to lower your premium would be to drop coverage for physical damage(comprehensive and collision) but you can’t do that since you still have a loan on the car. It’s probably too late to have the points removed. You can only attend the defensive driving courses BEFORE you plea guilty and accept the points on your license. You can try shopping around for another insurer. Or increase your deductibles for a lower rate. Just make sure your financial institution allows a high deductible on your vehicle calipink22

Since you’ve already plead guilty, there’s nothing you can do. You can’t lower your coverage either because you are still making payments on your car. I’d shop around and get a few quotes, try a high risk company. Also, think about raising your deductible if your lender will allow it. ♥~*Momma Bear*~♥

Well, since you have an accident and a ticket citation on your record, there is only one option to get rid of it, According to AutoInsuranceMonster.com you may pay it off or go and take a driving class to get rid of the citations and points. Top Q

The best way without reducing coverage is to compare as many companies as possible. You will be surprised how much the rates can vary from one company to another. But in order to find the best rates it will mean weeding through a lot of quotes but in the end it will most likely save you some money.

There are several free sites that can make this easier by taking the information that you provide them and passing it on to companies and agents that do business in your area. Two of the better sites that I have seen is and Both sites are really good the main difference is SecureQuote.biz only offers quotes through one free quoting service where InsuranceEasy provides links to multiple free quoting services. hers_1980
