How much does it cost to get a driving license in UK?
Tomasz W asked:
I don’t know how to drive. How much would it cost to get a license, and learn how to drive?
Another question – how much would it cost to get a car and insurance for it? Is insurance prohibitively expensive for new drivers?

A first provisional licence costs £50, driving lessons between £20 and £25 each, how many you need depends on you but an average is about 35. Then you have to pay £17.50 to get your full licence. A car would cost anything from £1000 upwards and for a new driver the insurance could well cost more than the car. Don’t forget that you also have to tax the car.
