How much cost to get the license to buy a weapon?

I just bought a handgun and was wondering how much cost to the to check background and to give me the license? I guess all of that was include on the price because I didn’t get charge for anything else. I live in Florida.

    The background check is included in your dealer purchase price.

    You live in Florida, which does not require a permit or registration, so there were no permit or registration charges.

    wow. in cali there is a 21 day wait for a handgun and its like $30 for all the background check fees.

    if you have the gun already, you’ve already paid the background fees…however, you don’t have a license to carry the handgun. you need a concealed weapons permit unless the gun is always in your house. Jeff S

    well it depends sometimes on what type of weapon your buying and how old you are normally the age is 18 idk but you should be able to if you look mature enough to handle the weapon Paige M

    What kind of paperwork did you have to fill out (if any) to buy the gun? Are you talking about a concealed-carry license?
    Here in Maryland we have to fill out,and pay for,the background-check paperwork when we pay for the gun.Then we have to wait,sometimes up to a month,for the state police to approve the sale before we can come back and get the gun.Then the gun is automatically registered with the Maryland state police.And we don’t even THINK about applying for a concealed-carry license here in Maryland.The state police won’t issue one unless you have a very good reason,and even then it’s a judgement call on their part.
    I know my “answer” is more of a question,and doesn’t help you much.But I’d be curious to know more about the gun laws (and rights) in the Sunshine State.Drop me an email if you care to fill me in. Danny

    Go to the NRA on the internet. They will inform you of the rights to own and carry weapons in Florida. ross j

    The Background check in Florida cost $5.00…
    If you want a CCW License it will cost you about $125 for the first 5 yrs..License and fingerprinting background, then $75 every 5yrs after…
    There is no license to buy or own firearms in Florida. If you want Class 3 weapons you need to go through alot more time and money….. j d
