Shona asked:

A license plate is to consist of three letters followed by two digits. How many different license plates are possible if the first letter must be a vowel (a, e, i, o, u), and repetition of letters is not permitted, but repetition of digits is permitted?

How in the world do I do this?!

Please help me with this? Thank you!

    iirc…
    5 * 25 * 24 * 10 * 10

should be how you do it.
There are 5 vowels you can choose, then only 25 letters because you cannot repeat the first vowel…than 24, since you can’t repeat the first two. Ta-Zu (&Miku)
